The shop interior is a little tired but don't be put off, the food is delicious and the portion generous. An Edinburgh institution for a reason, long live NVC."

I’ve had a lot of falafel in my life, but this was hands-down the best!!! crispy, flavorful, and bursting with spices that felt like fireworks in every bite. The chicken addition in the sandwich was a pleasant surprise, and the whole thing was just the works. Small place, huge flavor, and amazing prices!"

May 14, 2026"The wraps are not bad and affordably-priced at 5 pounds each. Possibly the best place for wraps in Edinburgh. There’s usually a queue at mealtimes, so be there early if you want to avoid it. There’s more seating space downstairs too. I would recommend bary wrap and samar salad (also a wrap)."

Other than that it's got lettuce and not much else, but the wrap itself was super crispy, excellent bite as well. Second visit: Dhan Halla, Bamia Bill Foron The lamb dish with tomato base was quite flat and very salty The veggie dish with cubed lamb was pretty good. Pita bread was ok A little pricey tho Third visit: Got the wrap again with feta, aubergine and ckn add on and only 1pound more The skin is rlly not well toasted, the ckn breast is quite dry but overall it's fine"

I think I'm going to have to go back every day that I'm here. Very affordable for the size too. The staff is very nice and you genuinely can't go wrong with this place."
